Hi Guys! I have just posted my video on partial sum!! I will be talking about trade first very soon !!!

Tuesday, January 27, 2015

Hey Guys! I will be posting my partial sum video very soon. So sorry you have been waiting so long. Also are next unit is on trade first. Trade first is a math way for subtraction. It is not that hard, and once you now it is super quick. I will talk about it more in the video. Have a nice day!!!!
Hi Guys! Just wanted to tell you that either today or very very soon I will post the video on partial sum. Also our next unit will be on trade first. Trade first is a way to get the answer to a  subtraction problem. You would trade the numbers so you can get the answer quicker and it is not that hard.Enjoy your day!!!
Hi Guys! Today is the wonderful Tuesday. So that means vocabulary day! So here we go. The first word of the week is Area:the measurement surface of a region in square units. To find the area, count the squares that can fit inside the object,or multiply the length by the width. The second word of the week is Angle:the figure made by two straight lines meeting at a point (a vertex) or by two rays meeting at a point. The difference between the two lines is measured in degrees. So those are the two words of the week. I hope you enjoyed learning for the 1st week of the math vocabulary words. I will post the video of me for partial sum soon!! Enjoy the snow day!!!!

Sunday, January 25, 2015

Hey Guys! We are going on to the 3rd lesson on www.beamathwhiz.blogspot.com!! The 3rd lesson is on partial sum. I will be posting two videos on partial sum! To give you a base on what partial sum is here is what it is. Partial sum is a addition solution so that when you come across a addition problem you are not struggling to find the answer. So I will give you a small problem for partial sum so you can get an idea of what it looks like. For example 38+67=? partial sum is a huge helper because when you do it you break the problem down so it is easier to get the answer. So the first thing you would do is 30+60=90 and you would write under the problem 90. Then you would solve 8+7=15. The last part is adding the two sum's toghether so in this case we would add 90+15=105.So the answer for this problem is 105. Make sure that when you do partial sum you show your work. Only half of the credit is from getting the correct answer the other half is showing your work. You did a great job!!! Make sure to watch both partial sum videos they will give you more information on partial sum. Also make sure to check out the two math words of the week. I will post them every Tuesday. Good job! Have a great week!!!!

Friday, January 23, 2015

Hi Guys! Today we will talk about in and out boxes. Tomorrow I will be posting a video on in and out boxes but I just wanted you to get an idea on what in and out boxes are. In and out boxes is a math thing a lot of kids use. What it does is there is a table and on the top you write in and on the other side you would write out. Then you make a little box right next to the table and you would write on the top"whats's my rule" sometimes they would give you the rule and sometimes they won't give you the rule and you have to figure it out by the clues. For example say it did give you the rule it was *3 so if the in number is 5 you would do 5*3=15 so your out would be 15. When it does not give you the rule in the box then look at a full done problem they did for you and then from that clue figure out what the rule is. The last thing about in and out boxes is that sometimes they want you make your own table and rule on your own. I hope I gave you an idea of in and out boxes. I will post two videos on in and out boxes so you can get some info there. Keep fowling www.beamathwhiz.blogspot.com! Thanks I will post soon on what the next unit is. Thanks! Bye!!!!
